FAQ

I'm a retailer and would like to carry your line:

We'd love to work with your shop! Please visit our wholesale page where you will find information and a link to our online catalog.

How are your products printed?

Our cards and postcards are screenprinted, which means that they are all unique and individual. Variations may occur, but it is a special part of the process.

Why Screenprinting?

Screenprinting, like letterpress, is a high quality boutique-style printing method. Unlike letterpress, the ink is applied with a squeegee to the surface of the paper through a screen where a "stencil" of the art has been created. Screenprints have a wonderful texture that you can see and feel and the inks never peel or fade. The colors that screenprinting inks yield is more vibrant and saturated than most digital printing methods. Plus it is a centuries old craft that we believe in keeping alive!

Can I change the colors or wording in card?

Each one of our cards is hand-pulled in batches using custom hand-mixed inks, so we cannot change colors for single cards. If you'd like something special we can re-run them as a custom order with a local printer, but minimums apply to custom orders as well as a 4-5 week lead time. If you are seeking 50-100+ pieces and can plan on waiting to receive your custom order in about a month's time please do contact us for more info and pricing.

Who designs your products and makes those fun hand-drawn typefaces?

Founder + Designer Shannon Fernandez creates and hand-letters The Paper Cub Co. designs.
