OH HELLO! I can hardly believe that this year is flying by and that it is time again for the National Stationery Show in New York City! This will be our third year exhibiting and I am so very excited to debut new designs and products! If you are attending you can find us in Booth #2159, on the corner in the "low ceiling" area. In addition to new cards, we are debuting notepads at the show as well as some gorgeous new screenprinted art prints! These products are released to buyers first, but then will be available in our online shops on June 1st. Make sure and sign up for our newsletter so that you can be the first to know when they become available. *And a note on orders while we are away* If you place an order between now and May 21st, your items will ship on May 22nd. Thank you for your patience while we are at the show! If you want to follow along with us as we setup and exhibit you can find us on Instagram here. For now here are some photos of our pre-show mailers that went out to retailers and a little bit about the process behind them.

Our 2015 NSS Pre-Show mailers. My goal was to make something fun and educational showcasing the inks we use in our screenprinted products. 200 of these were made 200 and 150 of them were sent out to retailers to let them know we will be at the Stationery Show. That means we will have around 50 extra at the show to give away as freebies!
This is the piece we started with, a one-color screenprinted double-sided 5x7 card printed by our friends at Mama's Sauce. I went through many drafts and mock-ups to get the placement of the color names right where I wanted the ink swatches to fall. Each ink dob was laid down by hand, errrr finger, resulting in 1,800 impressions! In the background, you can see some of the first swatches drying before I moved on to the next row.
Here is a little close-up of the neon pink, royal blue, and metallic gold ink swatches drying. Oh, and I forgot to mention that the back of 80 or so of our business cards also got this treatment.
And here is the final piece! We paired the mailers with a hot pink envelope and a photo postcard of some of our new products. I am so happy with how these turned out and it has been fun seeing them pop up from retailers on Instagram. Hopefully I achieved my goal of having an eye-catching piece that is informative at the same time. It was really fun to make!
